Responsibilities
- Advise feature teams on application security throughout conception, implementation, release, and operations.
- Develop and maintain cross-team security mechanisms for the web application.
- Assess application vulnerabilities and prepare clear, actionable security recommendations.
- Create threat models and identify potential threats from an adversarial perspective.
- Automate suitable security tasks using Bash, Python, or other necessary tools.
- Communicate vulnerabilities and security recommendations clearly to feature teams.
Requirements
- Good knowledge and extensive experience in web application and cloud security, preferably with AWS.
- Understanding of securely configuring, building, and releasing modern web applications, including IaC, CI/CD, and SDLC practices.
- Knowledge of Java web applications and JavaScript/TypeScript web clients.
- Understanding of dependency management tools such as NPM and Gradle.
- Development experience and the ability to determine when tasks should be automated.
- Knowledge of threat modeling and vulnerability assessment.
- Incident response experience is a plus.
- Very good German language skills at least at C2 level and very good English skills.
