
Associate Security Engineer
JPMorgan ChaseResponsibilities
- Execute standard security solutions according to established playbooks for internal clients.
- Use approved AI capabilities to support vulnerability analysis, documentation, code review, and security workflows while validating outputs and protecting sensitive data.
- Write secure, high-quality code in at least one programming language.
- Analyze and correlate incident data to assess threats, vulnerabilities, probability, and impact.
- Support continuity awareness, training, educational activities, and exercises.
- Apply reuse-first and AI-assisted practices to SDLC and toolchain routines to improve security testing, control validation, traceability, auditability, and resiliency alignment.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in security and/or software engineering.
- At least two years of applied experience.
- Basic experience developing security engineering solutions.
- Working knowledge of enterprise-authorized AI capabilities and responsible validation of AI-assisted code and security recommendations.
- Ability to code in one or more programming languages.
- Experience with SDLC execution, application resiliency, security, and agile practices including CI/CD.
- Working knowledge of information and network security, IT risk management, and architectural concepts and patterns.
- Proficiency using approved tools to analyze incident data and support vulnerability assessment.
- Preferred cloud, AI, or cybersecurity certifications such as AWS Certified Generative AI Developer, AWS DevOps, or OCP.
- Preferred knowledge of code design patterns, coding standards, algorithms, AI agent development, Java, Python, and Terraform.
