Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable, high-performance Java applications.
- Solve complex engineering challenges involving distributed systems, scalable architectures, and code quality.
- Apply Java SE and EE programming, object-oriented design, exception handling, and multithreading.
- Use Java frameworks and libraries including Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and JPA.
- Develop Java web applications using servlets and JSP.
- Integrate Java applications with relational databases using SQL.
- Engage with the LSEG talent community and participate in technical events and informal team gatherings until a suitable opening becomes available.
Requirements
- Senior-level Java engineering experience with proficiency in Java 11+ or a relevant version.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, Java Collections, Streams, and concurrency.
- Experience with Java SE and EE, scalable application development, and relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle.
- Familiarity with Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, JPA, servlets, JSP, and web application development.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Bamboo and with DevOps practices.
- Ability to work on enterprise-grade solutions and demonstrate technical excellence and continuous learning.
