Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance scalable, resilient, and maintainable Java backend applications.
- Build and maintain Quarkus microservices and distributed cloud architectures.
- Develop and maintain Angular frontend solutions when required.
- Implement event-driven solutions using AWS SQS, SNS, Lambda, DynamoDB, and API Gateway.
- Develop observability practices covering logging, metrics, and distributed tracing.
- Participate in architecture discussions, technical decisions, code reviews, automation, and engineering productivity initiatives.
- Use AI-assisted development tools and collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering experience with a backend development focus.
- Strong proficiency in Java and hands-on experience developing production-grade applications.
- Solid experience with Quarkus and Angular.
- Mandatory hands-on AWS experience, particularly with SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, Lambda, and API Gateway.
- Experience designing and developing microservices, distributed architectures, event-driven systems, and cloud-based applications.
- Experience with observability practices including metrics, logging, and tracing.
- Practical experience using AI-powered engineering tools such as Cursor or developer copilots.
- Ability to solve problems independently and collaborate effectively with engineering and cross-functional teams.
- Intermediate or Upper-Intermediate English proficiency.
- Preferred experience with reactive programming using Mutiny or Project Reactor.
- Preferred experience with financial markets, investment banking, financial systems, or highly scalable and resilient cloud applications.
