Responsibilities
- Set the long-term technical direction for application security at Faire.
- Lead the design and implementation of reusable security frameworks.
- Architect and automate security controls within development pipelines.
- Partner with engineering leaders to influence system design and architecture.
- Drive cross-functional initiatives to integrate security into technical foundations.
- Mentor engineers to improve secure software design and practices.
- Lead investigations and incident response efforts for security issues.
- Stay updated on emerging threats and modern security practices.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in software security architecture and engineering.
- Strong programming skills in languages like Kotlin, Python, TypeScript, Java, or Go.
- Proven track record of technical leadership in security initiatives.
- Experience with security automation and CI/CD integrations.
- Hands-on experience with cloud environments and modern infrastructure.
- Understanding of application security principles and common vulnerabilities.
- Strategic mindset balancing risk reduction with engineering velocity.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Passion for mentoring and fostering a security-first culture.
