Responsibilities
- Drive the technical direction of complex solutions in partnership with product counterparts, regional engineering peers, and the broader engineering community.
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable data solutions that meet business requirements.
- Build performant frameworks for ingesting and distributing financial data.
- Develop AI-native products from initial prototypes through scalable production services.
- Evaluate and drive strategic business and technology decisions for the company and its customers.
- Provide technical thought leadership, prescriptive guidance, education, and best-practice sharing.
- Own complex cross-team projects and mentor other engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 7 years of software engineering experience.
- Experience with distributed systems, microservices, and messaging queues.
- Ability to own complex projects involving partners across multiple teams.
- Proven ability to collaborate with and mentor engineers.
- Working knowledge of at least one object-oriented programming language, such as PySpark, Python, or Java.
- Knowledge of relational databases, SQL, NoSQL, OLAP, and/or data lake architectures.
- Knowledge of financial concepts is helpful but not required.
- Interest in FinTech and investment-management problems is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
