Responsibilities
- Oversee planning, design, and execution of software test strategies aligned with project goals and regulatory standards.
- Coordinate and prioritize test activities across projects and facilitate communication among cross-functional teams.
- Develop, track, and present test metrics, progress updates, and quality reports to senior management.
- Lead root-cause analysis of test failures, coordinate resolutions, and evaluate new tools and best practices.
- Ensure traceability of test cases to requirements and compliance with applicable industry standards.
- Represent the test team in meetings, audits, and reviews.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to less experienced test engineers while helping lead a team of six.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or a related technical discipline.
- At least five years of relevant professional experience with a bachelor’s degree, or at least three years with a master’s degree.
- At least three years of hands-on test automation experience designing, developing, and executing automated test suites.
- Expert-level Python proficiency, including architecting scalable frameworks, optimizing performance, and mentoring others.
- Demonstrated technical leadership through cross-functional leadership, complex project delivery, mentoring, and influencing technical direction.
- Preferred experience with behavior-driven development, Gherkin, test infrastructure, Windows services, desktop applications, environment setup, and troubleshooting.
- Preferred proficiency with Jira, Jama Connect, Bitbucket, Git, Jenkins, PowerShell, and Python.
- Preferred experience with medical device software, Agile environments, IEC 62304, IEC 60601, SSDLC, DevSecOps, continuous integration and delivery, and automated security regression testing.
- Preferred hands-on testing experience with C#, C++, HTTP, MQTT, networking, secure communications, and cloud-connected systems.
- Preferred cybersecurity verification and validation experience, including threat-model-derived negative and abuse-case testing, fuzzing, SAST, DAST, IAST, and audit-ready evidence.
- Preferred experience with Burp Suite, OpenSSL, Wireshark, Nmap, ZAP, Postman, Defensics, and Kali Linux.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and a security certification such as OSCP or GPEN are preferred.
