- Integrate large and foundation models and modern AI APIs into user-facing enterprise products.
- Build and scale AI orchestration architectures, including multi-agent frameworks, routing layers, and advanced RAG pipelines.
- Create reusable application layers around AI models with robust error handling, predictable behavior, and seamless user experience integration.
- Prototype, benchmark, and evaluate model outputs, retrieval quality, and agentic behavior using automated evaluation metrics.
- Optimize application and LLM performance for latency, cost, reliability, token usage, and context-window efficiency.
- Implement responsible AI governance, data privacy protections, security layers, explainability, and operational guardrails.
- Technically lead engineering workstreams, own the development lifecycle, and mentor junior-to-mid-level engineers.
- Deploy scalable systems using cloud computing platforms such as AWS and GCP.
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with backend architecture, distributed systems, and API design, plus 1+ year building production-grade LLM or agentic systems; or 5+ years in Machine Learning Engineering or AI application development, including 2+ years shipping LLM-backed products.
- At least 2 years of hands-on experience integrating LLMs, foundation models, and modern AI APIs into user-facing enterprise products.
- At least 1 year designing and scaling AI orchestration architectures such as multi-agent frameworks, routing layers, or advanced RAG pipelines.
- At least 4 years optimizing application performance, including API latency and user interaction constraints, with at least 1 year addressing LLM-specific constraints such as token management, cost optimization, and context-window efficiency.
- At least 4 years of experience using cloud computing platforms such as AWS or GCP to deploy scalable systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent technical field; a master’s degree is preferred.
- Strong understanding of responsible AI governance, guardrails, security layers, and evaluation mechanisms for autonomous agents handling sensitive enterprise data.
