Base Salary
$174k - $299k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and architect cloud infrastructure and platform services that improve reliability, availability, scalability, performance, efficiency, and system quality at 10X scale.
- Develop self-service code and end-to-end backend cloud deployment automation for application stacks.
- Create roadmaps and vision for scalable cloud infrastructure and platform services targeting 99.999% availability.
- Provide architecture artifacts and recommendations for machine types, network designs, deployment automation, network usage, role management, CDN, domains, and cloud infrastructure security.
- Build, deploy, maintain, and optimize highly reliable and scalable applications and cloud environments across public and private clouds.
- Analyze distributed production deployments and improve performance, monitoring, testing, continuous integration, and operational automation.
- Influence multiple engineering teams through technical guidance, shared expertise, and strategic partnership.
- Collaborate with customers, stakeholders, and lead engineers on mission-critical projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of total experience are required.
- 15+ years of hands-on cloud platform engineering experience is preferred, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience in system engineering, Cloud DevOps, Cloud SRE, infrastructure as code, distributed systems, or cloud infrastructure engineering are preferred.
- 7+ years of experience leading system design and architecture using AWS or Azure services are preferred.
- 7+ years of experience building and managing high-performance, highly available, scalable hybrid cloud environments are preferred.
- Hands-on experience with Terraform, Python, or Go for infrastructure-as-code application deployment automation is preferred.
- AWS advanced architecting or developing certification and team leadership experience are preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, cross-group collaboration, verbal communication, and written communication skills are required.
