Responsibilities
- Embed with enterprise client teams to understand manual business workflows and convert them into AI-agent-powered automation.
- Design, build, deploy, evaluate, monitor, and iterate production agent workflows end to end.
- Help build the agent harness platform using Claude, AWS Step Functions, Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, and AG-UI.
- Design agent control loops, tool and skill surfaces, context and state management, policy gates, retries, human-in-the-loop checkpoints, and multi-agent coordination.
- Build and integrate MCP servers, reusable agent skills, RAG pipelines, enterprise APIs, and document-processing workflows.
- Develop backend services, agent-facing user interfaces, workflow integrations, and AWS infrastructure for production deployments.
- Implement observability, evaluation, guardrails, audit trails, and quality regression testing for agent runs.
- Work directly with customers and non-technical stakeholders to gather requirements and present solutions.
Requirements
- Proven software engineering experience with hands-on AI engineering shipped to production; years of experience are not the criterion, and depth of AI delivery is emphasized.
- At least one production project involving LLM agents, skill building, or RAG pipelines, ideally using AWS Bedrock AgentCore and/or AWS Step Functions.
- Experience designing, deploying, and scaling AI-powered production workflows with Claude Code and/or Cowork for enterprise customers.
- Strong experience with agent harness design, AWS Step Functions and ASL, Amazon Bedrock AgentCore, observability, evaluation, guardrails, and LLM API fundamentals.
- Experience with Python 3.10+, async/await, type hints, FastAPI or an equivalent Python web framework, SQL, NoSQL, REST API design, JWT, and OAuth2.
- Working knowledge of vector databases, document/key-value stores, document processing, OCR, enterprise system integration, and MCP.
- Experience with AWS infrastructure, Terraform, Docker, containerization, and GitHub Actions CI/CD; Kubernetes and TypeScript are additional skills.
- Experience owning solutions end to end with minimal guidance and working directly with non-technical stakeholders; consulting or client-facing experience is advantageous.
- CRE domain knowledge, fine-tuning, and model evaluation are additional skills.
