Base Salary
$160k - $240k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and scale backend services using Go and Python for enterprise retail intelligence.
- Architect data ingestion and processing pipelines handling millions of data points from internal and external sources.
- Build and maintain APIs for the agentic AI platform and real-time enterprise decision-making.
- Integrate predictive and prescriptive models into production workflows with ML/AI engineers.
- Design for fault tolerance, observability, reliability, and high-throughput performance.
- Own major platform features from architecture through deployment and contribute to long-term architectural decisions.
- Mentor junior engineers and establish backend engineering best practices.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional backend engineering experience, including meaningful experience building systems at enterprise scale.
- Deep proficiency in Go and/or Python, with strong distributed systems and microservices architecture fundamentals.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases and large-scale data processing.
- Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
- Strong system design skills balancing performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Ability to write clean, well-tested, and maintainable code.
- Bonus experience with graph or vector databases, RAG architectures, GenAI, real-time data processing, streaming technologies, forecasting, or NLP.
