Senior Embedded Software Engineer

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain Embedded Linux system software, including systemd applications, kernel modules, and low-level firmware for the Pod
- Own security for the embedded Linux platform across boot, operating system, and runtime services
- Implement and maintain end-to-end secure boot, including signing, key management or provisioning, and anti-rollback versioning
- Build and operate device trust primitives and promote security best practices across the device fleet
- Partner with global and manufacturing teams, including teams in China, to develop production tests and support high-quality product launches
- Deliver reliable, maintainable, and well-documented software implementations with strong attention to detail
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in firmware and system software development with C/C++
- Deep expertise in Embedded Linux, including Yocto, Bitbake, systemd, and kernel development
- Proficiency in secure software development for IoT and embedded systems
- Experience optimizing compute workloads in resource-constrained environments
- Ability and willingness to travel internationally as needed for manufacturing and deployment
- Preferred experience implementing secure boot on Embedded Linux devices, including signing, key management or provisioning, and anti-rollback
- Preferred hands-on experience with OP-TEE and Trusted Execution Environments, including building and deploying Trusted Applications and integrating secure services with Linux
- Preferred expertise in wireless communication standards such as Bluetooth and Wi-Fi
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, iterative development environment
