Responsibilities
- Champion adoption of AI-powered testing tools for test design, execution, maintenance, defect analysis, and test generation.
- Build and maintain automation frameworks across web, desktop, and mobile applications.
- Write and maintain front-end and back-end automation, including testing non-deterministic Agentic AI responses.
- Perform functionality, integration, end-to-end, performance, regression, UI, API, and database-related testing.
- Generate, validate, refine, and own AI-assisted test cases based on requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Use AI-driven visual testing, self-healing automation, log analysis, anomaly analysis, and test prioritization to improve test resilience and coverage.
- Analyze customer-reported defects, investigate root causes through database queries and logs, and implement automation to prevent recurrence.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, UX/UI designers, and SDETs to define scenarios and comprehensive test coverage.
- Diagnose and resolve CI/CD pipeline issues and improve build stability and deployment workflows.
- Share knowledge through workshops and learning sessions on AI tools, testing innovation, and SDET skills.
- Document test strategies, automation processes, and AI tooling decisions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in SDET or quality engineering roles, including exposure to AI-assisted testing or tooling.
- Proficiency in Java, Python, and/or JavaScript/TypeScript for writing, reviewing, and debugging automation code.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright or Selenium for UI and API testing.
- Experience using LLMs or AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Copilot for test authoring, code review, or defect analysis.
- Working knowledge of software development and testing methodologies, including TDD, BDD, and ATDD.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, including triaging, stabilizing, and improving build and deployment workflows.
- Working knowledge of database querying and log/anomaly analysis, including AI-assisted observability platforms.
- Ability to critically evaluate, validate, refine, and take ownership of AI-generated test output.
- Ability to debug complex issues in handwritten and AI-generated automation code.
- Clear written and verbal communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders and transparent documentation of AI tool decisions.
