Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Architect and engineer relational database solutions across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments.
- Design and support high availability, disaster recovery, backup, recovery, security, encryption, and compliance strategies.
- Perform database performance tuning and query optimization.
- Migrate databases from on-premises environments to cloud and hybrid platforms.
- Automate database operations using scripting and integrate database deployments with CI/CD.
- Document designs and collaborate with infrastructure, application, security, and data teams.
- Support modernization, transformation, operational excellence, and mission-critical environments.
Requirements
- Demonstrated hands-on expertise with relational database technologies including Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Database, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Amazon RDS, Azure SQL Database, and Google Cloud SQL.
- Experience with AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
- Expertise in database architecture, engineering design, high availability, disaster recovery, performance tuning, query optimization, backup and recovery, security, encryption, and compliance.
- Experience with Linux and Windows server environments and scripting or automation using PowerShell, Bash, and Python.
- TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is required.
- Preferred experience includes Docker, Kubernetes, SolarWinds, Redgate, OEM, cloud-native monitoring, data replication, distributed systems, Snowflake, Redshift, Azure Synapse, ETL frameworks, Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation, MPP database administration, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
- Knowledge of federal government compliance frameworks, Zero Trust architectures, and mission-critical or high-transaction environments is preferred.
