Base Salary
$223k - $373k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build cross-functional vision with engineering and product leadership for Trust & Safety.
- Design and evolve scalable capabilities, infrastructure, APIs, and member-facing systems.
- Provide technical and architectural guidance to multiple engineering teams.
- Write and guide engineers in producing elegant, scalable code.
- Mentor engineers and lead architecture and design decisions.
- Lead teams or projects as needed and help resolve software development and infrastructure bottlenecks.
- Ensure technical decisions support quality, performance, scalability, reliability, availability, and security goals.
- Contribute domain expertise to organization-level architecture and technology discovery, vetting, and decision-making.
Requirements
- 12+ years of software engineering experience.
- Previous experience building and evolving high-scale backend solutions.
- Experience building end-to-end member-facing features and systems.
- Strong competency in distributed systems, scalable and extensible platforms, and high-availability design.
- Experience leading and empowering multiple teams.
- A language- and technology-stack-agnostic mindset.
- Ability to work in an agile setting.
