Software Engineer - Python
Hudson River TradingResponsibilities
- Develop Python software and improve existing systems across HRT departments and offices.
- Improve job orchestration and scheduling for a large compute cluster.
- Build Python tooling and development environments for HRT developers.
- Deploy, automate, and monitor global trade management and post-trade analysis systems.
- Build hardware verification systems and tooling.
- Develop software supporting ETL pipelines for market data, images, text, and other inputs.
- Collaborate with researchers and engineers on high-impact products and initiatives across the trade cycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Deep Python experience and advanced knowledge of the Python ecosystem and best practices.
- Experience deploying and maintaining applications through design and production.
- Strong design, debugging, problem-solving, and code analysis skills.
- Knowledge of UNIX operating systems, including Linux, system and processor performance, and network communication.
- Strong technical capability, productivity, curiosity, and ability to collaborate effectively with other developers.
