Responsibilities
- Work on cross-functional projects to define the future of Asana’s data platforms.
- Collaborate with data engineering and infrastructure teams on service models and operations.
- Design and implement tooling for data access, scalability, and monitoring.
- Promote good coding practices and solid engineering principles.
- Co-create best practices for running data applications in the cloud.
- Support design reviews and assist engineers in making trade-offs.
- Participate in the data infrastructure on-call rotation.
- Help establish the Data Infra presence in Warsaw.
Requirements
- Expertise in programming, distributed systems design, and infrastructure.
- Experience in building and operating scalable, reliable services.
- 4+ years of experience in production code for backend or data systems.
- 2+ years of mentoring or coaching team members.
- Eagerness to collaborate with various roles across the company.
- Good command of Python and SQL.
- Familiarity with distributed data processing systems like Spark or Snowflake.
- Expertise in AWS services and infrastructure-as-code tooling like Terraform.
- Curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies.
