Base Salary

$149k - $238k/yr

Responsibilities

Build and own backend systems and integration layers for drones and cloud services.
Implement features for rapid autonomous deployments that meet operational requirements.
Develop interfaces between Axon products and partner systems for secure data exchange.
Define observability, KPIs, and incident playbooks for DFR services.
Mentor senior engineers and lead cross-team design reviews.
Collaborate with product and engineering leadership to capture field workflows and requirements.
Drive multi-team execution and align priorities across organizational boundaries.
Own end-to-end delivery for cross-team initiatives from discovery to launch.
Support commercialization and scaling efforts through engineering tradeoffs.

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Experience owning multi-year technical roadmaps for enterprise or startup systems.
Proven experience delivering production systems that integrate hardware, edge, and cloud components.
Strong experience with backend services and languages such as Java, Scala, Go, or C#.
Experience with SQL and NoSQL data stores and operational practices.
Ability to influence technical direction and mentor senior engineers.
Entrepreneurial drive with a focus on outcomes and high-impact solutions.
Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments and driving solutions end-to-end.
Ability to rapidly understand unfamiliar codebases.
