Base Salary
$73k - $133k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement test automation frameworks for microservices-based platform components.
- Build reusable test libraries, utilities, distributed-service validation frameworks, and data-driven verification approaches.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and establish continuous quality gates.
- Conduct performance, integration, API, operational scenario, and legacy-to-modern behavioral validation testing.
- Develop test plans and strategies aligned with sprint and program increment objectives.
- Analyze defect patterns, test metrics, root causes, and quality trends.
- Collaborate with development and systems engineering teams on testability and quality requirements.
- Support test environment configuration and test data management.
- Mentor junior test engineers on automation practices and testing methodologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline with 3+ years of experience, or a master’s degree with 2+ years; additional experience, education, and training may substitute for the degree.
- Experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, pytest, or equivalent, and Java or JavaScript test development.
- Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
- Experience with performance, integration, and API testing for distributed systems using tools such as JMeter or Gatling.
- Knowledge of distributed service testing, service virtualization, contract testing, chaos engineering, and data-driven test automation.
- Experience with operational scenario-based testing, behavioral validation, root cause analysis, and defect investigation.
- Familiarity with Agile/SAFe testing, quality engineering, test management, and defect tracking tools.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust and successfully complete government-required background investigations.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Preferred qualifications include Python, microservices and event-driven architecture testing, Docker, Kubernetes, REST Assured, Postman/Newman, security testing, aviation or defense testing, TDD, BDD, AI-assisted development tools, and legacy-to-modern migration testing.
