Base Salary
$100k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead application feature development, software design, architecture, code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization.
- Develop scalable, maintainable, performant, and secure application software and distributed services.
- Troubleshoot Oracle applications, Oracle Cloud infrastructure, APIs, integrations, and complex production issues.
- Provide global production support for mission-critical cloud applications and drive availability, health, reliability, automation, and observability improvements.
- Implement software testing, quality assurance, error logging, monitoring, API lifecycle strategies, and maintenance or patching operations.
- Collaborate with customers, product managers, designers, QA, engineers, and stakeholders to define requirements, priorities, and solutions.
- Coach and mentor less experienced engineers, provide technical leadership, participate in hiring, and help raise the organization’s talent bar.
- Coordinate moderately complex projects and initiatives, monitoring timelines, deliverables, resources, and technical execution.
Requirements
- BS or MS in Computer Science or a relevant coding-focused technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 6 years of software development experience building scalable solutions and web applications.
- Strong programming ability in Java, GoLang, C#, or similar object-oriented languages.
- Experience delivering products across the full software development lifecycle.
- Experience with large-scale, highly distributed services infrastructure and mission-critical tier-one live-site operations.
- Experience designing architectures for high availability, scalability, flexibility, and future business demands.
- Preferred experience as a technical lead for large-scale applications and systems.
- Preferred hands-on experience with a public cloud platform such as OCI, AWS, or Azure; Kubernetes; and Infrastructure as Code, preferably Terraform.
- Preferred knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, computer networking, Linux internals, Linux/Unix troubleshooting, virtualization, KVM, containers, and Docker.
- Strong communication, systematic problem-solving, ownership, mentoring, and technical leadership skills.
