Base Salary
$101k - $155k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain software applications and components for spacecraft systems.
- Perform applied software development, requirements analysis, code development, testing, documentation, and system integration.
- Build verification plans, frameworks, tools, and tests for safety-critical, real-time embedded software supporting spacecraft control and diagnostics.
- Review and update software requirements and designs for verifiability.
- Write software verification code in C, C++, and Python for embedded environments.
- Design adversarial, requirements-based, automated tests.
- Develop tools and infrastructure supporting efficient build, debugging, and deployment.
Requirements
- Minimum BS degree in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, physics, aerospace, or a related field.
- Degree earned within the last year and availability to start by Fall 2027.
- Software development skills in C/C++, Python, or C#/Java, with strong problem-solving and debugging skills particularly in C/C++.
- Experience with formalized verification activities, including test cases, procedures, and reports.
- Relevant internship, co-op, hands-on, co-curricular, or research experience demonstrating technical development and leadership qualities.
- Ability to collaborate objectively and independently with software development teams and work independently or collaboratively on rapid-development programs.
- Desired qualifications include an advanced degree in computer science or software engineering, build/test/deployment automation experience, computer networking knowledge, distributed applications and safety-critical software experience, Qt/QML experience, DevOps experience, and configuration or source code management knowledge.
