Responsibilities

Collaborate with Soldiers and mission users to translate operational requirements into scalable technical solutions within the SHEPRD application.
Implement rapid application updates, enhancements, fixes, integrations, and new functionality based on mission objectives and user feedback.
Test, deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot software capabilities in coordination with operational users and stakeholders.
Provide hands-on technical support onsite and remotely, and conduct training and mentoring for Soldiers and other users.
Participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, and other iterative development activities while collaborating with engineers to improve workflows and scalability.
Prepare documentation, demonstrations, and performance reports, and travel occasionally within CONUS to 25th Infantry Division locations or associated mission sites.

Active Secret clearance is required.
Experience building modern web applications with JavaScript or TypeScript is required.
Experience developing backend services with a server-side framework such as Node.js is required.
Experience with relational databases, schema design, query optimization, and RESTful API integration is required.
Experience deploying applications in containerized environments such as Docker is required.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows, along with strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-facing skills, is required.
Applicants must meet U.S. Government security-clearance eligibility requirements; only U.S. Citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Desired qualifications include React, Node.js/Express, Kubernetes or EKS, AWS GovCloud, Azure Government, military or federal agency experience, Army software processes, Agile practices, operational decision-making systems, and Security+ certification or willingness to obtain it within six months.

The position is located in Oahu, Hawaii, with a preferred hybrid onsite arrangement at Schofield Barracks; candidates interested in travel may also apply.
Occasional CONUS travel to other 25th Infantry Division locations or associated mission sites is required as needed.
