Responsibilities

  • Architect and develop scalable AI platforms supporting healthcare-specific large language model applications.
  • Build AI pipelines for structured and unstructured healthcare data, including FHIR, HL7, clinical notes, and claims data.
  • Develop domain-specific AI architectures for clinical decision-making, revenue cycle management, and patient engagement.
  • Serve as the primary technical authority for AI platform development and mentor AI designers and engineers.
  • Drive internal knowledge-sharing on AI trends, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Implement model evaluation frameworks covering accuracy, robustness, and fairness.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, HITRUST, healthcare privacy, and data-security requirements.
  • Partner with engineering teams to move research prototypes into production.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Machine Learning, or a related field plus 10+ years of AI/ML platform development experience, or 15+ years of AI/software engineering experience with 10+ years building AI/ML platforms.
  • Proficiency in Python and modern machine-learning libraries.
  • Experience with GenAI, LLMs, transformer architectures, and advanced model routing.
  • Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, Hugging Face, LangChain, and LlamaIndex.
  • Deep experience building enterprise RAG systems, including chunking, hybrid search, vector databases, and retrieval optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with autonomous AI agents, Agent-to-Agent communication, Model Context Protocol, and multi-agent orchestration.
  • Advanced experience with agent context management, stateful memory, caching, and long-running agent contexts.
  • Experience with observability, logging, scalable systems, and LLM/agent tracing.
  • Strong experience with cloud platforms, on-premises deployments, MLOps/LLMOps, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
  • Experience with knowledge graphs, NoSQL/SQL databases, vector databases, GraphRAG, and hybrid retrieval architectures is preferred.
  • Familiarity with LangGraph, AutoGen, CrewAI, and Semantic Kernel is preferred.
  • Experience deploying non-deterministic LLM and multi-agent systems to highly available production environments is preferred.
  • Experience with Ragas, TruLens, and LLM-as-a-Judge evaluation approaches is preferred.
  • Knowledge of LoRA, PEFT, model distillation, AI guardrails, prompt-injection defenses, and output validation is preferred.
