Base Salary
$170k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and drive secure architecture strategies across cloud, desktop, mobile, and embedded software platforms.
- Embed secure-by-design principles into engineering processes through threat modeling, architecture reviews, and risk assessments.
- Partner with software engineering leaders to integrate cybersecurity practices into CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps workflows.
- Establish scalable product security standards, reference architectures, and engineering guidelines aligned with industry frameworks.
- Mentor engineering teams and architects on secure development practices and emerging cybersecurity trends.
- Provide architectural guidance and cross-functional leadership to reduce cybersecurity risk while supporting development velocity and product safety.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 15+ years of extensive experience in software architecture, cybersecurity engineering, or product security within complex technical environments.
- Deep expertise in secure software design, application security, and modern software development practices.
- Strong experience with threat modeling, vulnerability assessment, and risk-based security decision-making.
- Experience integrating cybersecurity throughout the software development lifecycle across multiple platforms.
- Ability to influence engineering organizations through technical leadership rather than direct people management.
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to engineering and cross-functional stakeholders.
- Preferred experience includes regulated industries such as medical devices or healthcare technology, NIST, ISO 27001, OWASP, cloud-native architectures, embedded systems, hybrid software ecosystems, CISSP or CSSLP certifications, and enterprise or multi-product architecture strategy.
