Base Salary
$121k - $147k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build scalable, reliable backend services and web interfaces to solve customer problems.
- Implement new features and optimize existing functionality for performance.
- Own well-scoped features and components from design through delivery.
- Contribute to technical designs and collaborate with senior engineers to clarify requirements.
- Write well-tested code, participate in code reviews, and take responsibility for shipped code’s correctness, security, and performance.
- Collaborate with product, design, and other XM Directory teams to deliver customer value.
- Help improve engineering practices and mentor new teammates and interns.
- Work on distributed systems and data infrastructure, including storage, computation, and serving layers for stakeholder data.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- At least 2 years of software engineering experience in a full-stack or backend role.
- Strong algorithms, data structures, and coding fundamentals.
- Experience translating customer and product needs into end-user features with design and product teams.
- Experience contributing to scalable, fast, robust web-based solutions for complex business problems.
- Exposure to web infrastructure and distributed systems.
- Experience with continuous delivery, Git, test automation, and build/deploy systems.
- Strong communication, analytical problem-solving, initiative, teamwork, curiosity, and willingness to learn.

- Base pay is listed as $121,000—$147,000 per year; sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be included.
