Responsibilities
- Build and ship features across the full stack of the Praetorian Guard platform from design through production operations.
- Develop Go serverless backend services and React frontend experiences used by security teams.
- Design scalable systems including graph databases, queue-based architectures, continuous security scan pipelines, and real-time interfaces.
- Translate offensive security findings and recurring vulnerability patterns into platform capabilities and automated detections.
- Write clear, tested, maintainable code and improve engineering standards through reviews and technical proposals.
- Integrate AI tooling into the development workflow while maintaining quality and understanding.
- Contribute to engineering culture through technical writing, knowledge sharing, open-source work, and mentoring junior engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Physics.
- 0–5 years of experience in cybersecurity, startups, or technology companies.
- Production-ready proficiency with idiomatic, testable Go and familiarity with serverless architectures, API design, and databases under load.
- Understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, failure modes, and data flow.
- Ability to build responsive, performant, maintainable frontend user interfaces with React.
- Evidence of building outside formal coursework through side projects, open-source contributions, or technical writing.
- Experience or interest in CloudFormation templates, Lambda handlers, React components, Playwright tests, graph queries, queue-based scanning pipelines, and AWS serverless architecture is relevant to the role.
