Responsibilities
- Participate in the strategic renovation of distributed infrastructure supporting trade capture and market/reference data gathering for the CVA trading desk.
- Partner with users, traders, quants, and technology teams to translate business and technology requirements into scalable solutions.
- Analyze and enhance data flows, architecture, and system functionality to improve platform performance and reliability.
- Architect, build, and maintain scalable, testable distributed systems using Core Java and/or Scala.
- Develop multithreaded applications and services for high-volume trading and market data workloads.
- Perform problem analysis, solution design, testing, implementation, and production rollout across the full project life cycle.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with Core Java or Scala and a strong understanding of multithreading.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience architecting, building, and maintaining scalable distributed systems.
- Strong software engineering, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with traders, quants, and technology teams.
- Experience with RDBMS and SQL is nice-to-have.
- Experience with Python, Perl, Unix, and K-Shell scripting is preferred.
- Understanding of financial products, particularly OTC derivatives, is beneficial.
- Knowledge of French and English is required.
