Responsibilities
- Define and enforce SRE strategy, standards, SLAs, SLOs, and error budgets across assigned platforms and engagements.
- Lead reliability reviews, toil reduction, operational readiness, and automation for monitoring, incident response, recovery, and remediation.
- Govern reliability-focused Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, observability, capacity management, service governance, release governance, security, and compliance practices.
- Act as the technical escalation point for major incidents and high-risk releases and ensure post-incident reviews drive measurable improvements.
- Identify systemic causes of operational load and ensure services are scalable, secure, observable, and operable.
- Provide technical leadership through influence and coach and mentor Senior SREs and engineers across multi-vendor delivery environments.
Requirements
- Deep technical expertise and credibility in large-scale environments.
- Strong expertise with Kubernetes and OpenShift.
- Experience with multi-cloud and hybrid architectures and service mesh technologies such as Istio.
- Hands-on experience with Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, Tempo, and OpenTelemetry.
- Strong Infrastructure as Code and GitOps experience with Helm, Kustomize, ArgoCD, and Tekton.
- Experience with CI/CD automation and reliability-focused engineering.
- Familiarity with Red Hat ACM/ACS, Submariner networking, and enterprise databases such as Postgres.
- Proven ability to lead, influence, and mentor across multi-vendor delivery environments.
- Must obtain Security Check (SC) clearance and have resided continuously in the United Kingdom for the last five years.
