Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end application feature development from requirements and design through implementation.
- Develop clean, scalable, reusable ABAP applications and promote software engineering best practices.
- Design and deliver solutions using the SAP RESTful ABAP Programming Model, including data modeling, UI, and service exposure.
- Build interfaces based on REST APIs and maintain technical and functional documentation.
- Enhance and support BOPF-based applications, including business objects, nodes, actions, determinations, and validations.
- Debug, troubleshoot, and tune application performance across the full stack.
- Contribute to AI development, promote AI adoption, and identify new AI use cases for development.
- Collaborate with team members, the team architect, and product owner in a global environment.
- Participate in SAFe daily stand-ups, iteration planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
Requirements
- 5+ years of proficiency in ABAP programming.
- Hands-on experience with OO ABAP, CDS views, RAP development, and SAP UI5/Fiori Elements.
- Experience designing, developing, and enhancing applications with the SAP RESTful ABAP Programming Model.
- Experience building end-to-end solutions from data modeling through UI and service exposure.
- Experience developing interfaces based on REST APIs.
- Experience creating and maintaining technical and functional documentation.
- Understanding and practical experience with BOPF-based applications, including business objects, nodes, actions, determinations, and validations.
- Understanding of SAP BTP integration, CAP, Clean Core, and extensibility concepts.
- Strong debugging, performance tuning, and troubleshooting skills.
- Active use of AI tools in daily development work and a proactive approach to fostering AI adoption.
- Ability to work effectively in agile, cross-cultural, global teams.
