Responsibilities

  • Own and operate large-scale global production environments using AI-assisted reliability and automation practices.
  • Design and manage production-grade GKE clusters, including upgrades, node pools, workload optimization, and multi-tenancy.
  • Lead the architecture, deployment, and operation of Kong API Gateway infrastructure, including rate limiting, authentication, traffic management, and plugins.
  • Build LLM-powered runbooks, intelligent alerting, predictive operations, anomaly detection, and automated incident remediation.
  • Implement and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform and Helm.
  • Develop automation and operational tooling with Python, Bash, and Go.
  • Monitor, investigate, and resolve P1/P2 incidents and lead troubleshooting, incident bridges, and post-mortems.
  • Participate in a daytime on-call rotation with occasional weekend and holiday coverage.

Requirements

  • 6–10 years of experience in SRE or DevOps roles in large-scale production environments.
  • Deep hands-on Linux experience at scale, including RHEL, Ubuntu, kernel tuning, and system internals.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, GKE, and Kong API Gateway.
  • Strong hands-on experience with GCP; AWS or Azure experience is a plus.
  • Mastery of Terraform and proficiency in Python for scripting, automation, and AI/ML integrations.
  • Familiarity with GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, and Flux.
  • Experience leading P1/P2 incident bridges and post-mortems for complex global application stacks.
  • Experience or strong interest in AIOps platforms and tools, plus familiarity with security, vulnerability management, and CIS compliance.
  • Experience with Istio or Kong Mesh is preferred.
  • CKA, CKAD, or Google Cloud Professional certifications are preferred.
