Responsibilities
- Develop application software for avionics flight display systems using C and Embedded C.
- Work with architectures, multithreaded programming, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs under DO178B/C standards.
- Debug, fix bugs, and enhance existing software.
- Perform development testing and regression testing on existing features.
- Ensure software quality before handoff to Quality Assurance teams for testing and verification.
- Write system specifications, high-level and low-level requirements, and high-level and low-level test procedures.
- Participate in Agile development activities and meet deadlines and contractual milestones.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication, or an equivalent discipline.
- 3 to 7 years of relevant experience in embedded avionics software development.
- Expert-level Embedded C programming skills and expertise in memory usage and execution-time allocation.
- Understanding of Integrated Modular Avionics, data structures, cockpit displays and graphics, Primary Flight Displays, Multi-Functional Displays, and Flight Management System functionality.
- Knowledge of DO178B/C, MISRA coding standards, software development life cycles, configuration management, and avionics protocols.
- Strong experience with RTRT and software verification, including high-level and low-level test definition.
- Knowledge of A429, A664/AFDX, RS232, and ARINC 653 avionics protocols.
- Good organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
