Responsibilities
- Design and develop production-ready agentic AI workflows using LLMs such as OpenAI and Azure OpenAI.
- Implement multi-step solutions that combine reasoning, tools, and data while ensuring reliable, accurate, and scalable outputs.
- Integrate AI solutions with enterprise payroll systems through REST APIs, authentication, and data exchange.
- Work with structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.
- Translate payroll business challenges into scalable AI and API architectures.
- Write clean, maintainable, and documented code with error handling, logging, debugging, and reusable design patterns.
- Mentor payroll professionals transitioning into AI engineering through guidance, code reviews, and best practices.
Requirements
- 4–6 years of experience in software engineering or related roles.
- Strong Python development skills and hands-on experience with APIs, REST APIs, authentication, OAuth, tokens, and system integration.
- Experience building real-world LLM-based solutions using OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, or similar technologies.
- Knowledge of prompt structuring and tool/function usage.
- Strong problem-solving, system design, end-to-end workflow design, and complex multi-component debugging skills.
- Ability to deliver production-ready solutions and work with ownership in ambiguous environments.
- Ability and willingness to mentor and enable others.
- Experience with agentic frameworks such as LangChain or Semantic Kernel is preferred.
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Azure, is preferred.
- Knowledge of Retrieval-Augmented Generation and familiarity with SQL or NoSQL databases are preferred.
- Basic frontend or UI development and MS Office skills are additional advantages.
- B.Tech or BE in computer science or a related field, or a strong educational background in a related discipline.
