Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain AWS account structures, landing zones, reference architectures, and infrastructure-as-code modules for AI/ML workloads.
- Engineer cloud and on-premises compute, storage, networking, identity, security, and connectivity for production and disconnected AI environments.
- Enable and operate Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, Kubernetes, and related AI platform services, including access provisioning, logging, quotas, and GPU scheduling.
- Deploy and operate Amazon EKS and ROSA/OpenShift clusters with autoscaling, ingress, service mesh, RBAC, and security hardening.
- Create automation, deployment standards, pipelines, runbooks, monitoring, backup, recovery, patching, and lifecycle-management processes.
- Establish FinOps practices including tagging, budgets, showback/chargeback, anomaly detection, forecasting, cost reporting, and optimization of GPU, inference, storage, and data-transfer costs.
- Partner with cybersecurity, architecture, networking, monitoring, application, and business teams on governance, compliance, observability, and secure solution delivery.
- Support incident response, root-cause analysis, problem management, on-call rotations, after-hours maintenance, and emergency response.
- Prepare technical recommendations, cost estimates, documentation, and standards, and provide training, mentoring, and technical work direction to other engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field is required.
- 12 years of relevant work experience is required; an equivalent combination of education and related experience may be considered.
- Hands-on AWS experience with IAM, VPC networking, compute, storage, encryption/KMS, and account or organization structures is required.
- Strong Kubernetes expertise in cluster design, operations, troubleshooting, and security across EKS, ROSA, or OpenShift is required.
- Solid networking experience covering routing, DNS, load balancing, traffic management, firewalls, hybrid connectivity, and disconnected environments is required.
- Experience with API gateways, integration patterns, infrastructure-as-code, Terraform, automation, and CI/CD pipelines is required.
- Ansible, Python, or PowerShell experience is preferred.
- Working knowledge of cloud security, identity and access management, compliance requirements, monitoring, logging, patching, backup, and recovery is required.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, written communication, verbal communication, and stakeholder-presentation skills are required.
- Preferred qualifications include end-to-end cloud architecture, AI/ML or GenAI infrastructure, Amazon Bedrock, SageMaker, vector databases, retrieval-augmented generation, GPU training or inference, edge AI, disconnected environments, FinOps, regulated-industry or FedRAMP/GovCloud experience, and multi-cloud experience.
- Preferred certifications include AWS Solutions Architect Associate or Professional, AWS Certified Machine Learning, and Certified Kubernetes Administrator.
