Base Salary
$96k - $185k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect system resilience and advance modern observability across distributed services.
- Establish SLO-driven engineering practices and improve incident response workflows.
- Drive multi-cloud and Kubernetes infrastructure strategy.
- Build automated tooling and self-service infrastructure so product engineers can deploy and monitor services safely.
- Act as a technical escalation point during critical incidents and lead blameless post-mortems focused on root-cause elimination, remediation, and automated recovery.
Requirements
- 8+ years of engineering experience.
- 5+ years running complex microservices at scale on Kubernetes within cloud environments such as AWS and/or GCP.
- Fluency in at least one modern language used for system tooling and backend services.
- Advanced experience with Terraform, Helm, and GitOps workflows such as ArgoCD or Flux.
- Hands-on experience with Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and central logging platforms.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, HTTP/2, gRPC, service meshes such as Istio or Linkerd, CDN routing such as Cloudflare or Fastly, and API gateways.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
