Responsibilities
- Support the Invoice Simple platform strategy through new feature development and product maintenance.
- Own and evolve CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and infrastructure automation.
- Gather requirements, design solutions, implement software, and ship production code.
- Partner with application teams to improve service architecture, deployment strategies, and production practices.
- Improve system reliability, availability, observability, and operational readiness.
- Participate in incident investigations and lead improvements that prevent recurring issues.
- Adopt tools and practices that improve team performance and customer experience.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience building production systems.
- Strong experience with a major cloud provider, preferably AWS.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, networking, databases, and cloud architecture.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized infrastructure.
- Experience using TypeScript to implement type-safe, well-organized code and understanding of the JavaScript tooling ecosystem.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, interpersonal, and communication abilities.
- Preferred: experience building internal developer platforms or self-service infrastructure tooling.
- Preferred: database reliability and performance experience, particularly with PostgreSQL or MongoDB.
- Preferred: FinOps or cloud cost optimization experience.
- Preferred: experience with PCI DSS, SOC 2, or similar security and compliance requirements.
- Preferred: experience with progressive delivery, feature flags, canary deployments, or automated rollback strategies.
- Preferred: familiarity with native mobile development tools.
