Responsibilities
- Support the Invoice Simple platform strategy across new features and product maintenance.
- Own and evolve CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and infrastructure automation.
- Gather requirements, design solutions, implement code, and ship software.
- Partner with application teams to improve service architecture, deployment strategies, and production practices.
- Improve system reliability, availability, observability, and operational readiness.
- Adopt industry tools that improve team performance and customer experience.
- Investigate incidents and lead improvements that prevent recurring issues.
- Collaborate effectively with distributed team members.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong software engineering fundamentals and experience building production systems.
- Strong experience with a major cloud provider, preferably AWS.
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, networking, databases, and cloud architecture.
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and containerized infrastructure.
- Experience using TypeScript to write type-safe, well-organized code.
- Good understanding of the JavaScript tooling and ecosystem.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Preferred: native mobile development tools, internal developer platforms or self-service infrastructure tooling, PostgreSQL or MongoDB reliability and performance, FinOps or cloud cost optimization, PCI DSS or SOC 2 environments, and progressive delivery, feature flags, canary deployments, or automated rollback strategies.
