Responsibilities
- Design and operate a tool gateway exposing connected APIs and MCP integrations through a Python SDK.
- Build routing, authentication, rate limiting, and reliability capabilities into the tool gateway.
- Run persistent, isolated Linux sandboxes with attention to security, autoscaling, and cost.
- Own durable, high-performance multi-tenant state and persistence systems designed to handle failures.
- Identify and resolve integration issues and improve system architecture to prevent recurrence.
- Work directly with users and the founding team on product and infrastructure decisions.
Requirements
- Typically 3 to 10+ years of experience building and operating production backend systems.
- Strong distributed-systems experience, including designing for reliability and operating systems through failure.
- Hands-on expertise with containers, Linux internals, sandboxing, and safely running untrusted code.
- Experience building Python services and working with infrastructure tooling such as Modal.
- Practical experience with OAuth, webhooks, rate limits, and third-party API integrations.
- Experience in infrastructure, platform, developer tools, runtime systems, or secure code execution, including designing multi-tenant systems.
