Software Engineer III (Java/AWS)

- Design, develop, execute, and troubleshoot secure, scalable software solutions across multiple technical areas.
- Write and maintain high-quality production code and algorithms that integrate with supporting systems.
- Use and critically validate enterprise-authorized AI coding tools for code generation, refactoring, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation.
- Create architecture and design artifacts and ensure software implementations satisfy design constraints.
- Analyze and visualize large, diverse datasets to identify improvements to applications, systems, coding hygiene, and architecture.
- Guide peers on responsible and secure use of AI-assisted engineering tools.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 3+ years of applied experience.
- Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
- Limited-guidance coding experience with Java, Spring Boot, and application APIs.
- Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining software in a large corporate environment using modern programming and database querying languages.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and validating their outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
- Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, security expectations, and the software development life cycle.
- Preferred: familiarity with React.js, Angular, or similar JavaScript frameworks; AWS EC2, EKS, RDS, S3, or Lambda; and Postgres or Cassandra.
