Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations and maintenance of Amgen’s R&D Veeva Vault environments and hosted applications.
  • Design, develop, and implement Veeva Vault applications, modules, custom reports, SDKs, interfaces, and enhancements.
  • Translate functional and technical requirements into software architecture and design specifications.
  • Operate CI/CD and configuration-as-code pipelines, secrets management, environment provisioning, and monitoring.
  • Create and execute API/UI smoke and regression test packs, security scans, and automated CSV evidence.
  • Integrate Veeva Vault with other systems and platforms to support seamless data flow and functionality.
  • Monitor system health, maintain availability and performance, and respond to incidents to minimize downtime.
  • Maintain documentation for software designs, code, and development processes.
  • Stay current with Veeva Vault features, releases, platform governance, and ecosystem best practices.
  • Collaborate with product management, design, QA, and other cross-functional teams to deliver software.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • 5–9 years of experience in Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Experience with the Veeva Vault Platform and products, including configuration settings and custom builds.
  • Experience building configured and custom solutions on the Veeva Vault Platform.
  • Experience managing systems and implementing and validating projects in GxP-regulated environments.
  • Extensive SDLC experience covering requirements, design, testing, data analysis, and change controls.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and JavaScript.
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git.
  • Strong knowledge of information systems and network technologies.
  • Veeva Vault Platform Administrator or equivalent Vault certification is mandatory.
  • Familiarity with relational databases such as MySQL, SQL Server, and PostgreSQL is preferred.
  • Experience with ETL tools such as Informatica and Databricks is preferred.
  • Experience with API integrations such as MuleSoft is preferred.
  • Experience writing SQL queries and using reporting tools such as Tableau, Spotfire, and Power BI is preferred.
  • Experience in the global pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
  • SAFe for Teams certification is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
