Responsibilities
- Lead testing strategy and execution across multiple Scrum teams and complex frontend, backend, microservices, and API architectures.
- Design, develop, and maintain test automation frameworks and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
- Evaluate and implement AI-driven test generation, defect prediction, adaptive testing, and LLM-assisted QA workflows.
- Embed bias detection, safety validation, explainability checks, and monitoring around AI components.
- Use observability and data analytics to identify systemic issues and improve performance, coverage, and resilience.
- Lead test strategy reviews and architecture discussions while mentoring engineers in automation and AI-enhanced QA.
- Promote shift-left quality practices and adapt testing strategies to AI trends, tools, regulations, compliance, and security needs.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering in test experience in commercial software environments.
- Strong TypeScript and Playwright expertise, or experience with a similar end-to-end testing tool and willingness to develop deep Playwright expertise.
- Proven experience with API and backend testing across microservices and monolithic systems.
- Experience designing automation frameworks and integrating them into CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions.
- Familiarity with AWS serverless services, infrastructure as code, Docker, observability tools, and modern DevOps practices.
- Exposure to IAM, secrets management, DevSecOps, and security principles in delivery pipelines.
- Understanding of AI in software engineering, including LLM-assisted test generation, defect triage, AI component monitoring, prompt testing, and model input/output verification.
- Exceptional communication skills and experience mentoring or leading others in a quality or test leadership capacity.
