Base Salary
$115k - $167k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build backend services and APIs in Python connecting LLMs to enterprise security data.
- Develop LLM features using prompt engineering, structured outputs, tool/function calling, RAG, embeddings, and vector search.
- Build and extend agent workflows that retrieve information, call tools, and recover from failures.
- Create evaluations and automated tests measuring accuracy, latency, cost, and reliability.
- Build connectors for vulnerability scanners, identity systems, and asset inventories.
- Prototype AI capabilities, review AI coding-agent output, and participate in code and design reviews.
- Ship scoped features from design through production with guidance from senior engineers and increasing ownership over time.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of software engineering experience or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong programming experience in Python.
- Solid fundamentals in data structures, APIs, testing, and debugging.
- Experience building or integrating LLM-powered applications in production or substantial projects, including RAG, embeddings, tool calling, or agents.
- Experience calling at least one frontier model API or SDK, such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or Google.
- Working knowledge of APIs, databases, and cloud-native development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Security exposure, experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, containers, CI/CD, AI evaluation, observability, guardrails, vector databases, search, or open-source contributions is preferred.
- Classical machine learning, statistics, or data science experience is not required.
