Base Salary
$111k - $160k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain high-performance POS applications using C++, C#, .NET, and Python.
- Integrate payment terminals, barcode scanners, receipt printers, and cash drawers through serial communication and device interfaces.
- Design secure APIs and backend integrations for real-time transaction processing.
- Integrate AI/ML models for fraud detection, anomaly detection, transaction analysis, intelligent diagnostics, and log analysis.
- Build model deployment and inference pipelines, simulation tools, and automated troubleshooting or documentation systems.
- Perform unit, integration, and end-to-end testing, and support field deployments and production troubleshooting.
- Optimize systems for latency, throughput, concurrency, reliability, logging, monitoring, and observability.
- Ensure awareness of payment security standards and implement authentication, encryption, validation, retries, and fault tolerance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of software development experience.
- Strong proficiency in C++, C#/.NET, and Python.
- Experience with serial communication protocols and hardware/software integration.
- Strong understanding of REST API development, AI/ML model integration, data processing, and automation.
- Experience with model deployment, inference pipelines, anomaly detection, and classification models.
- Understanding of latency optimization, real-time constraints, event-driven and streaming architectures, multithreading, concurrency, asynchronous programming, and performance tuning.
- Preferred familiarity with TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, OpenAI or Azure AI APIs, POS or payment systems, EMV, ISO 8583, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, AWS, and Azure.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills; embedded systems, IoT, or edge AI experience is a plus.
