Responsibilities
- Design, build, and ship high-performance Go backend services, internal developer tools, and APIs.
- Own services across their full lifecycle, including writing code, managing Helm charts, deploying to Kubernetes, and operating infrastructure with Terraform and Terragrunt.
- Debug and manage containerized production services on Kubernetes.
- Participate in the on-call rotation and take operational ownership of owned services.
- Build and operate production environments under PCI-DSS security standards with human-in-the-loop merge and deployment controls.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of direct, hands-on experience as a Go or backend engineer; experience must be directly relevant rather than only total career experience.
- Proven ability to design clean, maintainable microservices and make sound engineering tradeoffs.
- Daily production experience deploying, debugging, and managing Kubernetes and Helm.
- Proficiency with Terraform and Terragrunt.
- Solid experience with PostgreSQL and Redis.
- Advanced AI fluency, including applying techniques such as RAG workflows to complex problem-solving.
- Based in or willing to relocate to Hamburg, Germany.
