Responsibilities
- Design and maintain Terraform modules and infrastructure patterns for use by engineering teams.
- Manage, tune, and troubleshoot production Kubernetes (EKS) clusters, including service mesh implementation.
- Lead security and compliance work involving PCI DSS and SOC2 in partnership with the Security team.
- Define and monitor service reliability metrics, participate in on-call rotations, and drive post-incident improvements.
- Improve developer experience through automation, CI/CD pipeline improvements, and clearer documentation.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to technical design discussions.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience in DevOps, platform, or infrastructure engineering.
- Proven hands-on software development experience, preferably with Go.
- Experience designing and maintaining infrastructure as code, ideally with Terraform.
- Strong production Kubernetes knowledge, including cluster operations and troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services including EC2, VPC, IAM, and load balancing.
- Comfort working within security and compliance requirements.
- Ability to mentor engineers and communicate technical decisions clearly to different audiences.
