Responsibilities
- Build and extend an evaluation pipeline that measures task completion, catches regressions, and converts production failures into fixes.
- Develop context-management strategies for coherent long-horizon agent tasks.
- Design composable sub-agent patterns while maintaining parent-agent control of outcomes.
- Own document parsing for supplier invoices, catalogs, and contracts.
- Wrap Coupa supplier APIs as agent-callable CLI tools with clear errors and sensible defaults.
- Ship supplier-facing skills using procedural instructions and tool compositions.
- Debug production agent behavior using logs, traces, and evaluations.
- Partner with the senior engineer on AI harness architecture across the stack.
Requirements
- Have 3–5 years of experience shipping production software.
- Be strong in Python; TypeScript is a plus.
- Have shipped at least one LLM-powered feature or product and be able to discuss lessons learned.
- Be a daily, heavy user of agentic coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or equivalents.
- Have substantive side projects, ideally projects enabled by newer AI tools.
- Write and speak English fluently.
- Use logs, traces, and evaluations to investigate and debug software behavior.
