Base Salary
$52k - $74k/yr
Responsibilities
- Analyze functional requirements and generate comprehensive test cases.
- Write functional test procedures and automated test scripts.
- Execute formal product tests and exploratory testing.
- Report product issues and verify defect fixes in the defect tracking system.
- Build and maintain engineering test facilities, including test rooms, hardware, and software.
- Assist with hardware and software simulators.
- Advance testing tools, technology, processes, and product testing recommendations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, engineering technology, computer science, or a related discipline, or commensurate experience in software development or software testing.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel macros, pivot tables, XML files, formulas, and commands.
- Ability to follow safety measures when working with electrical equipment and communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
- Coursework or experience with test methodologies, quality assurance practices, object-oriented development, and component-based product development is desired.
- Experience with automated testing, programming, embedded controls, building control systems, unitary refrigeration systems, HVAC equipment, or embedded controller configuration is preferred.
- Experience using AI tools for software development is preferred.
- Completed engineering internship or equivalent contribution to embedded controls development, software implementation, and structured software testing is preferred.
