Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain automated benchmarks using commercial applications and games to evaluate CPU, GPU, memory, storage, and platform performance.
- Design hardware-aware workloads and microbenchmarks for CPU, GPU, and SoC characterization.
- Build automation and orchestration frameworks for workload execution, result collection, and analysis.
- Improve the reliability, observability, scalability, repeatability, and controlled variance of performance runs.
- Integrate application code, scripts, and platform-specific tooling into unified benchmarking pipelines.
- Develop cross-platform execution and control harnesses for Windows, Windows on ARM, macOS, and Linux.
- Create lightweight GUIs for configuring, running, and visualizing benchmarking workflows.
- Debug complex performance issues and collaborate with hardware tracing, power, and performance optimization teams.
- Provide instrumentation hooks and infrastructure support for low-level data collection and analysis.
- Translate raw performance data into actionable insights for internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate across software and hardware teams and deliver maintainable code using Git-based development workflows.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Strong object-oriented programming background, with C, C++, or C# strongly preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and system-level troubleshooting skills across Windows, Linux, and macOS.
- Experience with concurrent programming, threading models, and synchronization primitives.
- Proficiency with software development tools including debuggers, profilers, and Git-based source control.
- Experience writing microbenchmarks for CPUs, GPUs, or SoCs.
- Experience automating real-world applications or games into scalable test suites.
- Familiarity with Qt or .NET application frameworks, including MVVM architecture, databinding, and custom renderers.
- Exposure to operating-system-level development on Windows, Linux, and/or Android is a plus.
- Clear communication, effective cross-team collaboration, technical leadership, and strong ownership.
