Responsibilities
- Design, build, and ship internal services, APIs, and tooling primarily in Go.
- Own the lifecycle of services, including deployment, maintenance, and operational support.
- Deploy services to Kubernetes clusters and maintain their Helm charts.
- Manage infrastructure for owned services using Terraform.
- Participate in on-call support for owned services.
- Improve existing internal services, integrations, and developer tooling.
- Collaborate with development teams as internal customers and contribute across the system when useful.
Requirements
- Strong, current expertise in Go.
- Experience building complex backend services and APIs.
- Comfort deploying services with Kubernetes and Helm and working with Kubernetes clusters.
- Experience managing infrastructure with Terraform.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and key-value stores such as Redis.
- Advanced AI fluency, including applying AI to complex problem solving, using retrieval-augmented generation, and evaluating the return on investment of models or approaches.
- AWS, GitLab CI, and experience building internal developer tooling are nice to have.
