Responsibilities
- Develop low-level firmware and software for microcontrollers.
- Create reusable device drivers and integrate system-level features.
- Architect changes that support an expanding codebase.
- Debug and troubleshoot issues spanning electrical, firmware, and software boundaries.
- Collaborate with electrical engineering and review schematics.
Requirements
- Be pursuing or have recently completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer or Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
- Be able to start full time in 2027.
- Be a U.S. Person due to access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities.
- Have experience with C for embedded systems, preferably with microcontrollers, sensors, bare-metal or RTOS environments, board bring-up, and debugging.
- Have familiarity with USB, SPI, I2C, CAN, RS232, RS485, or Ethernet bus protocols.
- Have experience with microcontroller cores such as ARM, AVR, MSP430, or PIC.
- Have debugging experience with JTAG, SWD, oscilloscopes, or logic analyzers.
