Base Salary
$93k - $210k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and operate large-scale, highly available cloud-based distributed systems.
- Develop scalable infrastructure software and customer-facing CI/CD capabilities for OCI DevOps.
- Apply distributed, asynchronous, concurrent, and network programming techniques.
- Work with data models, distributed persistence technologies, operating systems, security principles, and cloud infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot and tune system performance.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring while collaborating in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent proven experience.
- At least 5 years of experience building and operating large-scale, highly available, cloud-based distributed systems.
- Specialist proficiency in a modern programming language such as Java, C, C++, C#, Go, or Python; additional languages are preferred.
- Understanding of operating system fundamentals, data models, distributed persistence technologies, security principles, techniques and protocols, and network architectures.
- Proficiency in network, distributed, asynchronous, and concurrent programming.
- Experience building and operating scalable infrastructure software or distributed systems.
- Experience using web services such as EC2, EBS, Lambda, Dynamo, and S3 or equivalents.
- Strong troubleshooting, performance-tuning, analytical, problem-solving, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
- Preferred qualifications include Agile/Scrum enterprise-scale development, big data solutions, fleet orchestration for virtual and containerized workloads, machine learning fundamentals, TCP/IP and HTTP, storage principles and protocols, and secure software development.

- US hiring range is $92,500 to $209,500 per annum, with possible bonus and equity eligibility.
