Base Salary
$120k - $195k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain production robotics software in C++ and Python.
- Integrate perception, planning, controls, teleoperation, and platform software for physical robots.
- Improve testing, validation, fault handling, performance, reliability, and edge-case behavior in outdoor environments.
- Debug failures across software, hardware, sensors, networking, timing, and hardware interfaces.
- Build internal tools, scripts, and workflows for developer velocity, testing, observability, and release quality.
- Validate new features directly on robot hardware and iterate through real-world testing.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of professional experience in robotics, autonomous vehicles, drones, or complex embedded systems, including deployment of physical hardware products.
- Strong proficiency in C++ and Python, including production-level C++ debugging and Python tooling.
- Experience in one or more robotics domains such as perception, motion planning, controls, localization, state estimation, system integration, or robot behavior.
- Strong Linux development, command-line, debugging, scripting, and system-troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve issues spanning software, hardware, sensors, and distributed-system interactions.
- Experience with outdoor or unstructured-environment robotics, Docker, Kubernetes, developer tooling, simulation, telemetry, diagnostics, or fleet-scale production deployment is preferred.
